Horse Copse Certificated Location - Caravan Club Members Only

Horse Copse is situated 3 miles north of Wimborne Minster at Holt, in the beautiful Dorset countryside. This caravan club certificated location is adjoining a small copse which has been designated a Site of Nature Conservation Interest by the Dorset Trust for Nature Conservation.

At Horse Copse you will not find more than 5 vans on site.

In springtime the site is a mass of daffodils and  the copse  carpeted with bluebells. The copse also contains many other woodland flowers, together with an abundance of animals and birds that can be seen by the quiet visitor.

Dogs are welcome and can be exercised either in the copse or on the local footpaths close to the site.

 Holt Heath National Nature Reserve, which is one of Dorset's largest remaining areas of lowland heathland and includes two separate areas of semi-natural ancient woodland (Holt Forest and Holt Wood), is close by.

The sandy beaches of Bournemouth and Poole are just 12 miles away.

The village pub - The Old Inn - is one mile away and there are several other pubs in the area that also serve good food.

The nearest village shop is Furzehill Stores and PO.

The town of Wimborne Minster provides supermarkets, takeaways (Indian, Chinese and Fish & Chips), a good selection of restaurants, a launderette and a Tourist Information Office.
